Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellow

Hi! I’m Ansuman from India. I obtained my Dual MTech + PhD in Biosciences and Bioengineering from the IIT Guwahati, India, under the supervision of Prof. V. Venkata Dasu and Prof. Sanjukta Patra. My doctoral research focused on developing a novel Pseudomonas fluorescens expression system for recombinant protein production. Following my PhD, I continued as a Research Scientist, working on Pichia pastoris expression systems for mAb production. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned my BTech in Biotechnology from the NIT Rourkela, India. My research interests include synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, and bioprocess development, with an emphasis on engineering microbial cell factories and developing scalable, sustainable, and carbon-negative biomanufacturing processes. At the RLA Lab, I work on engineering Yarrowia lipolytica for sustainable bioproduct production through carbon-negative bioprocesses.
Outside the lab, I enjoy spending time in nature, playing pool, and binge-watching series."
