Hello! My name is Karina Eileen Olguín Ubilla. I am a biotechnology engineer, graduated from Andres Bello University in Chile. I am currently in the final semester of my master’s degree in Engineering Sciences, with a specialization in Biochemical Engineering, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. My research experience has focused mainly on cell culture, recombinant strain generation, and bioprocess development, particularly using Komagataella phaffii as a platform for biotechnological applications.
My research interests are closely related to molecular biology and recombinant protein production. During my stay at RLA-Lab, I am working on bioprocesses and transcriptional expression analysis.
Outside the lab, my biggest hobbies are reading and watching all kinds of movies with my little sisters.
