Hi, my name is Mia Hlavackova and I am from Bratislava, Slovakia! I am an MRes student in Medical Device Design and Entrepreneurship and at RLA Lab I am focusing on a project which uses precision fermentation to engineer microbial production of a carotenoid crucial for eye health. This initiative aims to develop a sustainable fermentation-based platform to support new treatments for Age-related Macular Degeneration.
