Hello! I am Sadat Khattab, and my current research focuses on developing novel membraneless organelle systems for sustainable bioproduction, particularly for the efficient utilization of C1 carbon sources. I began my academic career as a teaching staff member at Al-Azhar University in Egypt before continuing my research journey at Kyoto University, Japan. My background is in microbial biotechnology and metabolic engineering, with a particular focus on engineering multi-carbon-utilizing yeast platforms for the production of biofuels, biochemicals, and sustainable food ingredients from lignocellulosic biomass, supporting the transition toward a circular bioeconomy.
Beyond research, I enjoy walking, running, playing foot
