I’m Sajad, originally from Iran. I hold a PhD in Food Science and have spent the past five years as a postdoctoral researcher, focusing on bioprocess engineering and precision fermentation to develop innovative food alternatives. During this time, I have worked across the entire microbial food biomanufacturing pipeline, from strain screening, low-cost media development, and metabolic modelling through to product extraction, purification, and final food formulation. I have developed strong expertise in bioreactor design, operation, process optimisation, and scale-up, successfully translating processes from shake-flask experiments to pilot-scale bioreactors.
